1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To provide a functional and safe marketplace, we collect the following types of information:
- Personal Identification: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Government-Issued Documents: We may collect copies of your Passport, Driver's License, ITIN, or SSN for identity verification and tax compliance purposes.
- Professional Records: Business Licenses, insurance certificates (General Liability/Workers' Compensation), and photos of past work.
- Precise Location Data (GPS): We collect precise location data from your mobile device to match Professionals with nearby jobs, provide arrival estimates to Clients, and ensure the safety and integrity of the Marketplace.
- Financial Information: We use third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) to handle payment data. The App does not store full credit card or bank account numbers on its own servers.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Facilitating Connections: To allow Clients to find and hire Professionals in their geographic area.
- Verification and Safety: To verify user identity and maintain a secure environment for all parties.
- Service Monitoring: To track job status via GPS data and ensure professionals are present at the designated job site.
- Compliance: To comply with federal and state tax reporting requirements (e.g., issuing 1099 forms).
- Communication: To send job alerts, payment confirmations, and support messages.
3. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
The App is a marketplace; therefore, some sharing is necessary for the platform to function:
- Between Users: Limited information (name, profile photo, rating, and location) is shared between Clients and Professionals to facilitate a job.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as identity verification, background checks, and payment processing.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as a subpoena, or if we believe such action is necessary to comply with U.S. federal or state laws.
- No Data Selling: We do not sell your personal information, GPS history, or documents to data brokers or third-party advertisers.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your documents and location history.
- Encryption: Sensitive documents and GPS data are encrypted during transmission and at rest.
- Retention & Deletion Timeline: We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations. If you request account deletion, your profile is immediately deactivated, but your data is securely retained for a 90-day grace period before being permanently deleted or anonymized.
- Risk Acknowledgment: Despite our efforts, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. By using the App, you acknowledge and assume this inherent risk.
5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA/CPRA COMPLIANCE)
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights:
- Right to Know: You may request the specific personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete & Account Deletion Process: You may request the deletion of your account and personal information directly through the App's profile settings. When you request deletion, our process is as follows:
- Immediate Deactivation: Your account will be immediately deactivated, and your profile will no longer be visible to other users on the platform.
- 90-Day Grace Period (Recovery): Your data is securely held for 90 days. If you change your mind, you can cancel the deletion and restore your account simply by logging back into the App within this timeframe.
- Permanent Deletion & Anonymization: After the 90-day period expires, our automated systems will permanently delete your authentication credentials and anonymize your personal identifying information (including name, contact details, precise location, and uploaded identity documents).
- Legal Exceptions: Please note that certain transactional records may be retained beyond this period solely to comply with federal and state tax reporting requirements (e.g., issuing 1099 forms).
- Right to Correct: You can update inaccurate information directly within your App settings.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
6. LOCATION TRACKING (GPS)
You can choose whether or not to allow the App to collect your precise location through your device's operating system settings. However, if you disable location tracking, the core functionality of the App (finding nearby jobs or notifying clients of your arrival) will be significantly impaired or unavailable.
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
